Ilium Records LLC presents LIMELIGHT: The Search for TROY’S Next Musical Sensation. Auditions were held in March, and twelve semi-finalists were chosen for the Troy event.

The competition on April 12th will be the second annual LIMELIGHT event and will showcase talent from all TROY campuses.

Last year’s pilot event proved to be a success; the winner, Brendan Moze, recorded and released a single with Ilium Records as part of his reward packet. Brendan is an international student originally from Trinidad. His single, “Sarcastic Way”, was released in the fall 2009. 

This year’s winner will receive FREE studio time with Ilium Records in Troy, Alabama to record a single that will be released nationwide!

It gets even better. The top six finalists of LIMELIGHT Troy will be automatically qualified to compete in LIMELIGHT Montgomery on April 21st at the historic Davis Theater in front of more than a thousand people. Five acts will be chosen by our guest judges, and the sixth will be chosen by popular vote: that means YOU decide!

LIMELIGHT - Troy will be on April 12, 2010 at Claudia Crosby Theater on Troy’s campus. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the show starts at 7:30 PM.

Tickets for TROY students are $3 in advance and $5 at the door. For non-students, tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the door.
